Milbro Sports moved from Motherwell in Scotland to Mildenhall in 2008. It’s now based on the old railway station site, set in 16 acres of beautiful Suffolk countryside, alongside its sister company Kynamco (they manufacture Kynoch Big Game ammunition which has been used across the world for a century or more). Milbro has been manufacturing air gun pellets and accessories since for over 50 years and brands such as Caledonian, Clipper, Select, Twin Ring and Jet are known throughout Europe and beyond. So Mildenhall is now home to two of Great Britain’s long established iconic shooting names.

The company supplies pellets to the gun & fishing trades and currently has the capacity to make around 7 million pellets a week. Testing takes place in a specially built 100 metre range on the premises.

Though Milbro was once a main supplier of Diana air rifles, it hasn’t made or sold air rifles for many years. That changed recently when the company welcomed in the air rifle expert Ben Taylor who is now making bespoke air rifles for individual customers in the UK and abroad. Ben was one of the founders of the air rifle maker Theoben and he has been a constant source of expertise and innovation in the airgun market. At the same time, Milbro has contracted a talented CNC engineer to make one of the finest sound moderators – the Milbro Huggett. The company, though, is still true to its roots in encouraging younger people into airgun sports and it sponsors The Airgun Training & Education Organisation (ateo.org.uk) which works with youngsters and schools to ensure the safe enjoyment of airgunning.
